Blackletter is a historic printer’s term for the styles also known as Old English or gothic. The monograph “Blackletter: Type and National Identity” accompanied the exhibition and is sold online through Amazon. A separate catalog for the exhibition is available from RIT Press.

Peter Bain has taught at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Mississippi State University, Parsons School of Design/The New School, Pratt Institute, and the Wells Book Arts Summer Institute. His presentations and workshops include AIGA Birmingham (2016) , ATypI 2013 (Amsterdam), Typecon 2010 (Los Angeles), ATypI 2006 (Lisbon), and Typecon 2005 (New York).
